A second business, Ladyburg,

is a soap-making, personal-care retail store launched by Wellman with his wife, Crystal Wellman, after she took a soap-making class and decided to break away from a spa employer. Achieving success: Frederick

“bootstrapped” both businesses, not taking out any loans and growing the companies conservatively. Within six months of opening ScoutComms, the company was in the black. As for Ladyburg, Crystal lured about 300 clients she knew from her time working at the spa, and the company grew from there.
