[“Alcohol to Excess’” included] in- teresting same-old stuff on alcohol but no mention of the benefits of moderate alcohol consumption. Ac- cording to a Scientific American arti- cle of a few years ago, alcohol is the single best nonprescription item you can ingest to reduce cholesterol. It is at least 10 times better than the much-touted oatmeal regimen and similar supplements.
