A TD is a Tauck Director who travels with you on your trip. They take care of all the day-to-day travel details so you and your family can enjoy all the fun they have planned without any of the work! Totally dedicated and truly delightful, TDs love to share stories and surprises that make you listen, laugh and learn a lot about the places you’ll explore together.
Mountain Man Mancini
Chris Mancini loves to travel. He also loves to act, play baseball and climb mountains. He’s starred in plays and independent films for more than 25 years. He was a professional baseball player for the Netherlands for two seasons too. Part of his job was to go to schools and host baseball clinics as well as mentor young players in their baseball club. Today, you’ll find him taking kids like you on safaris in Tanzania, where he’s climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru multiple times. Pretty cool, huh?
Good Times Charlie
He’s worked for Tauck for 30 years and led Tauck Bridges tours for 11 years! A dad himself, Charlie Watson is a family man in every sense of the word. An experienced riverboat TD, he likes to make learning about different cultures and countries fun for parents and kids alike. When it comes to introducing new customs to the families that travel with him, you’ll find him dressed to fit the occasion and the place and he always wears a smile on his face!
Nature Lover Carla
Carla Weston likes nature and travel so much that she went to school for it! She studied Tourism in Costa Rica and got her Master’s Degree in Eco-Tourism. She has traveled all over Latin America and the Caribbean working as a naturalist and lecturer and has visited 74 different countries. Fluent in Spanish and English, she leads our trips in the Galápagos, Peru, and Costa Rica. She has been snorkeling since she was 5 years old. She always goes snorkeling in the Galápagos with kids who are on her trips and loves to swim with sea lions and sea turtles. Ready to take a dive?
