Housebuilder continues with Team Expansion

A Swansea-based housebuilder is continuing its growth with the addition of two new sales trainees and a commercial director. Persimmon Homes West Wales has brought in Danielle Richards and Amy Daniel as trainee sales advisers, while Jason Martin is the newest face at the Penllergaer office at director level. Seventeen-year-old Danielle, of Church Village, has joined the business straight from school and is learning the ropes at the Cae Hendre site in Bridgend.

She said: “My mother has a background in letting property so that sparked an interest in the industry. “I am really enjoying it so far. Cae Hendre is a busy site so I’m learning fast. I’m constantly talking to different people and it’s great to help people find their perfect home.”

Amy is 22 and lives in Brynmill in Swansea. “I worked in a pub for three years but wanted to get into a job which could develop into a career,” she said. “It has only been a few weeks but I feel as though I’ve learnt a lot already. My time in the pub has helped as it taught me how to engage with customers. “My aim is to keep progressing and to eventually have my own site.” Meanwhile, Jason Martin has been promoted to Persimmon Homes West Wales’ new commercial director, moving over from the East Wales region where he was head of commercial for three years. Father-of-two Jason, who has previously worked for 24 years with other housebuilders, said he was relishing the challenge ahead. “I moved from Persimmon’s East Wales region to West in September and I am enjoying the challenge,” said the 46-year-old who lives in Cardiff. “It’s good to see that we’re in a strong position from a sales perspective, customer satisfaction surveys are on the rise and we have the makings of

great commercial team. “We have a healthy land bank with a number of new outlets coming in the new year. In 2017 I’m looking to bolster the contractor base and to put steps in place to control costs more effectively moving forward.” Elsewhere, there have been a number of promotions with Gerraint Thomas moving from site manager to contracts manager, while Gemma Williams and Sophie Morris are now sales advisers after completing the trainee programme.
