EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW continued

Tufftruk’s Rigid arrival Buggiscopic replacement from Manitou

The new replacement from Manitou for its popular Buggiscopic received its UK exhibition debut at the Show. First revealed at Bauma last year, the MT420H compact telescopic handler is the smaller brother of the popular MT625H. The new machine has the same spacious cab and utilises a 36.5kW Kubota engine and hydrostatic two-speed transmission. It has a maximum capacity of 2,000kg and a lift height of up to 4.3m. To facilitate access in confined spaces, the 4WD MT420H is

only 1.49m wide and 1.9m high. It has three steering modes and all-wheel steer provides a tight turning radius of 1.98m. The machine should become available for sale in September.

Having established its pedestrian controlled Truxta Bendi articulated micro dumper, Tufftruk officially unveiled the production version of a complementary rigid chassis machine. Called the Truxta Rigid, there are two skip capacities of 300kg or 450kg, with machine widths of 730mm and 850mm respectively.

Power options include 3.6kW and 4.1kW Honda petrol engines with models incorporating a 3.5kW Yanmar diesel engine or a 1,000W/24V DC electric motor to follow. The machine has hydrostatic drive and, to demonstrate its effective braking, it was displayed parked on a 25° slope.
