MajorBloodnok, Agony Aunt HEED MY WISDOM OR I’LL SET @MajorMcBloodnok

DAVID STARKEY ON YOU Dear King_John_Wronged,

The important issue is to consider the different objectives of each of these important pieces of legislation. The Magna Carta was designed to limit the power of the monarch, protect the rights of the barons and ensure that no man, including the King, was above the law. The Human Rights Act was based on the requirement to comply with the European Convention of Human Rights which states that no-one is above the law, including barons or the monarchy. The British Bill of Rights will be designed to ensure that no-one is above the law apart from the monarchy, the barons (particularly press barons) and especially the British Government, which will henceforth be able to do whatever it like to whomsoever it likes and be able to get away with it. That, my friends is British Common Sense in a nutshell.

The Major Dear MajorBloodnok,

From what I have been reading in the Telegraph and other leſt- wing papers, the hated Human Rights Act (1998) is about to be repealed and replaced by a British Bill of Rights based on the tenets of the Magna Carta. Do you not agree this will allow common sense to prevail, and not only that, British Common Sense, which (it goes without saying) is by far the best kind?

King_John_Wronged

Te British Bill of Rights will be designed to ensure that no- one is above the law apart from the monarchy, the barons (particularly press barons) and especially the British Government,

Dear MajorBloodnok, I’ve been reading a lot about alleged bribery at FIFA and the disastrous effect this will have on world football, not to mention the careers and bank balances of FIFA management. My question is: what has this got to do with FFA and are the two related in any way?

Blater_Pudding

Dear Blater_Pudding, The short answer is “No”, and the long answer is “No, not really.” The even longer answer is that FIFA is a byword for officials being bribed with brown envelopes full of other people’s money, whilst FFA was promised by Gordon Brown and effectively amounted to an atempt by Unionists to bribe Scots with their own money.
