Nuaire MD sets out company vision


W


ith a clear, determined vision of strengthening Nuaire’s reputation for


innovation and quality, recently a ppointed managing director Wayne Glover has already put wheels in motion, investing in engineering and building customer engagement.


Mr Glover joined Nuaire in 1993 as a product development engineer and through the next 24 years progressed in management and director roles i n engineering, sales and commerce, to the post of managing director in January this year.


He stated: “Nuaire is known as an industry leader when it comes to product. We were the first company in the industry to achieve BSI


Q uality Management ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, for example. I want to really focus the company on innovation and quality to drive growth.”


Mr Glover has revised the management and Director level


structure at Nuaire: “This has provided a reinvigorated team who are directly engaging with customers to really u nderstand what their needs are and p rovide innovative solutions. I have a lso been working on getting the different divisions at Nuaire more engaged with each other, bringing sales and commercial closer together, w hich is already reaping rewards.” F or any manufacturing business, i nvesting in engineering is essential. Nuaire, with Mr Glover at the helm, has recently invested heavily in a revised production line for its


flagship XBC range of high efficiency c ommercial heat recovery ventilation u nits. A new flow-line manufacturing p rocess has been introduced which has seen a 30% improvement in productivity.


Daikin Applied opens testing centre


D


aikin Applied Europe has launched a Witness T esting service for clients, with a


new climatic test chamber designed to accommodate all cooling-specific applications. The new facility, based at Cecchina, near Rome, offers testing to recognised International Standards across a range of operational modes, in all climate conditions. The development follows


significant investment at the Daikin Applied Eu rope Italian factory in 2016. New production lines dedicated to water-cooled chillers ha ve since been introduced, together with the development of new testing infrastructu res, resulting in


continued strong sales growth for Daikin.

new manufacturing development to provide future-proof solutions that ensure regulatory compliance for its customers.


The centre follows a rigorous


set of procedu res to ensu re proper operation of Daikin products in any environment. The new testing regime has been independently verified and accredited to EN 14511:2013, ISO 9614:2009 and other major recognised Eu ropean and American HVACR industry standards. In addition, the climatic chamber has been approved by the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI), with tests on air-cooled units for the Eurovent testing campaign being conducted in the new Daikin facility. The centre will be a vailable for use from the beginning of October 2018, with tests now being scheduled for new orders confirmed as of August.
