What are your long-term goals in the UK?


Our long-term goal in the UK is to establish Clivet as a leading player in the domestic heat pump market – a highly competitive space with many manufacturers vying for market share. Staying relevant requires constant evaluation, not just of our products but of our entire off ering. It’s essential to adapt, refi ne, and ensure we stand out. Clivet has undergone a signifi cant transformation


in recent years. When I fi rst joined, we were primarily a project-led air conditioning company. Over time, we’ve transitioned into a quantity-sales model for heating products. This shift presented challenges, particularly in market recognition; when we fi rst launched our heat pumps, Clivet was largely unknown in the heating sector. The feedback at the time refl ected that few had even heard of us. Since then, we’ve worked extensively to establish our presence. Today, most key players in the industry


recognise Clivet, but there’s still considerable growth ahead.


Our focus remains on heating products, with


several new developments in progress. We’re preparing for the Installer Show, ensuring we showcase products that, while not yet on the market, should be available by year-end. Expanding our product range is crucial, not only for development but also for diff erentiation from competitors. We’re prioritising air-to-water heat pumps, though we also off er air-to-air solutions, which have been slower to gain traction. However, recent progress with a distributor has helped us develop momentum in the air-to-air sector, particularly around compliance with Part O regulations concerning overheating in new properties. Educating SAP assessors on integrating our solutions into assessments has been key, and we’re beginning to see success. On the regulatory front, we’re members of the


European Heat Pump Association, though our involvement isn’t as active as I’d like. One of my goals is to free up time to engage more directly, particularly in shaping industry discussions and legislation. Diff erentiating Clivet from competitors remains a priority. Initially, we focused on service and warranty, though these aspects are now similar


across the industry. A major push from our factory is to diff erentiate at the product level, through components and control systems. Beginning next month, our heat pumps will feature an updated controller, integrating remote monitoring capabilities. This means installers who manage multiple units can monitor them in real time, improving effi ciency and maintenance responsiveness. Remote monitoring does raise cybersecurity considerations, and our factory team has focused on ensuring data protection. What is Clivet’s vision of sustainability? Sustainability is an essential priority for Clivet,


both from a company-wide perspective and in product development. On the corporate side, we are required to fi le a sustainability report detailing the environmental impact of our factory and subsidiaries. In 2024, Clivet’s head offi ce undertook an extensive review of its carbon footprint, working to evaluate and reduce emissions across operations. The factory has implemented signifi cant sustainability measures, including installing solar panels to power many of its systems. Even the factory fl oor heating has transitioned to heat pumps, eliminating reliance on gas entirely. For subsidiaries, including Clivet UK, steps have been taken to reduce
