Rittal is launching a new generation of lights designed specifically for enclosures. The range sets new standards for energy and high performance using LED technology which will deliver up to 1,200 lumens, and for easy installation, there are simple connection and mounting options.
Lighting is an area that is often neglected in the design of enclosures and yet it plays a vital role in helping with installation and maintenance. The ability to easily identify different wire colours, for example, is clearly vital for both.
Two models of the new enclosure lights are being launched with luminous fluxes of 900 and 1200 lumens.
They use LEDs which provide outstanding energy efficiency and have a much longer lifetime than other light sources. Their transparent plastic lens with integrated Fresnel lenses focus the light in such a way that the entire enclosure is illuminated, even down at the bottom. It means the light can be targeted towards areas where it is needed – without being scattered into the exterior.

STYLE-CASE is ideal for remote controls – notably in medical and social care but also in many household, office and industrial applications.
Its modern high-gloss finish is pleasant to touch, imparts a high quality user experience and is also easy to keep clean.
STYLE-CASE is assembled using tamper-proof Torx screws – an important feature for medical and wellness applications.
Its operating panel is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad or product label.
There is an integrated battery compartment for two 1.5V AA cells. It is accessible from the outside (via the bottom section) and features a screw-closed lid.
The enclosures are moulded from high quality traffic white (RAL 9016) ASA for enhanced UV stability or black (RAL 9005) PMMA for infrared permeability. Both plastics are rated UL 94 HB for flammability.
STYLE-CASE is available from February 2017 in one size: 166 x 64 x 31 mm. Prices start at £15.
Accessories include battery clips (nickel-plated steel), a sealing kit, self- tapping screws (2.2 x 5 mm PZ1) and a Torx T10 screwdriver.
