Sport served as the inspiration for the PEPINO designers, in creating a colourful collection that combines function and style. For the girls, next to classic colours such as Atlantic and Cherry Red, soft ice cream hues in Mint, Blush and Vanilla convey a cool summer mood. Light neutrals are brightened by neon pastels. Boundless imagination is the motto of the new transparent TPU soles, and for the boys the mix of canvas and leather adds a relaxed look. Neon details add bright accents to the styles. Next to high-tops, low shoes are very important. Subtle appliqués – monkeys, dinosaurs, mermaids, fish, and daisies adorn the uppers. Clever closure systems, involving a mix of Velcro and elastics make them easier to put on and take off. The sporty styles with knitted elements in a multi-coloured chevron design are wonderfully light. Exciting combinations with mesh lining, neon details, clever lace designs and flexible ridge soles, create that all important cool image.

RICOSTA Summer 2017

Boys The RICOSTA designers took inspiration from the demands for a cool look for boys, offering more sneakers and skaters. For the first time, the collection includes sandals with the innovative BOA system. The twistable easy-open closure is a hit with tech geeks! Dark colours with neon details

and/or subtly appliquéd dinosaurs or bulldogs make exciting new styles and combined with flexible PU soles with contrasting edges give the necessary cool vibe. The new unisex sneakers with knitted uppers, Velcro and lace fastenings are extremely lightweight. So-called “elastic socks” make the sneakers with bi-colour PU/TPU soles easy to put on and take off. Little “sailors” will love the boat shoes with practical Velcro fasteners.

Girls

Sweet details of hearts, flowers, embroidery and rhinestone appliqués added to floral designs with crackle effect leather create truly eye-catching styles. Light soles and a light interior combined with seductively shimmering metallics create an airy summer look. Ultralight, white treaded soles, colourful insoles and braided textile uppers are the finest ingredients for stylish, multi-coloured sandals.

Slip-ons and lace-ups are capturing the hearts of sneaker fans. Colour blocks and silver inlays with the RICOSTA logo, perforations, and matching laces and eyelets, along with details in mirrored silver, red gold or platinum create stylish accents. Sneaker boots in new material combinations, such as suede with PU-coated patent or shimmering glitter, leave lots of room for individual styling. Details including lace, batik effects and 70s retro prints evoke a retro feeling.
