FEAT R E ATURE UKIVA Machine Vision Conference T
he first ever UKIVA Machine Vision Conference & Exhibition
(
www.ukiva.org/mvc) will take place at ArenaMK in Milton Keynes on 27 April 2017. With 50 technical vision seminars and 30 live
demonstration stands, this new free one-day event is dedicated to machine vision technology and its applications and is aimed at the widest possible audience.
PPMA group head of mar keting, Valerio Del Vecchio, explains: “Machine vision is a far- reaching technology that has grown enormously in recent years. Imaging technology is
everywhere, from our smartphones to industrial process and quality control; from motoring aids to each new generation of computer games. The machine vision industry is so fast paced that we have developed this new event to provide something for everyone. We’re very keen to attract people who are new to machine vision and who may not realise the benefits that the technology can bring to a wide range of applications. So for those wanting to get
involved with vision for the first time, we will be providing a series of talks that will cover the basics of vision systems. Nevertheless we are also making sure that there is plenty to interes t
the more experienced users or system integrators with presentati ons covering the latest developments, technologies and applications. Perhaps most importantly the event also provides the opportunities for all delegates to network, both with each other and with some of the leading exponents of machine vision technology.”
Visitors will see and hear about real world examples of howmachine vision delivers value and creates competitive advantage, learn abou t what’s coming next in terms of cutting edge research and gain valuable insight into the latest
exhibition will provide the opportunity to see at first handmuch of the hardware and softwar e covered in the conference.
“The conference programme is rapidly taking shape,” continues Del Vecchio. “We have already lined up speakers from many of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of vision
technology as well systems integrators. These include Acrovison, Allied Vision, Alrad Imaging, Basler, Bytronic Automation, CIS, Clearview Imaging, Euresys, IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH, Imperx, Lambda Photometrics, Matrix Vision, Matrox, Multipix Imaging, NET, Photonfocus, Pleora, Point Grey, Scorpion Vision, Sick UK, Stemmer Imaging and SVS Vistek. The main themes of the day will cover 3D vision, camera technology, software,
embedded vision, optics, illumination and lasers, systems and solutions.”
