The largest fan in the range – the 172 x 150 x 51mm – produces 1600Pa static pressure and a maximum airflow of 966m3
/hour (568CFM). Sanyo Denki dual ball-bearing fans are engineered to offer a long life of 40,000 hours

A high output version of AMETEK Rotron’s MIL-XTM Tubeaxial Fan has been launched which is optimised for heat sink and heat exchanger electronic cooling applications. The new fan can be used to cool electronic devices and equipment racks in mission and personnel critical airborne, land- based and sea-borne applications. Multiple fans can be stacked to meet high-flow requirements. Standard features include
advanced composite propeller material, shock-proof construction (meeting Mil-S-901), reverse polarity protection and over-voltage protection. Optional features, meanwhile, allow the fans to be used in a wide range of situations and configurations. These include round or flat case, mounting options, EMI filter, immersion protection, fan performance sensor, analogue speed control, custom finishes and more. MONITORING
FAN AIRFLOW A compact airflow monitoring system has been developed by Orion Fans. The AFM Kit includes an AFM-01NC airflow module, mounting clip, three plastic guards, buzzer, LED and holder, switch and wall mounted power supply. This indicates decreasing airflow in AC or DC fan/blower applications. As well as monitoring the airflow of fans or blowers, the system is also good for MRO applications since it is easily retrofitted into existing systems. Field retrofittable for AC or DC
fan/blower applications, the AFM Kit protects components like power supplies, PoE midspans and displays in sensitive equipment including servers, telecom switches, medical equipment and kiosks. Placed on the output or input side of the fan, the sensor module mounts perpendicular to airflow via a clip, clamp or integration into a fan guard. It measures positive airflow by mounting in the front of the fan or negative airflow when mounting to the intake side of the fan.

Now available from FDB Panel Fittings are the EMKA 1042/3 two stage hinges. These provide a full 180° door opening for removable flush doors on large or small cabinets, with two sizes to suit industrial enclosures and electrical housings. The hinges are concealed within the cabinet using internal weld-on mounting which, combined with a
flush/insert door design, minimises opportunities for vandal attack while presenting a smooth aesthetic appearance. Their easily removed hinge pins enable simple door demounting; and each hinge also has a second spring loaded hinge pin – once the door has been opened 90° it may then be opened a further 90° using the second pivot point.

New from Bernstein is the CC-5000 neXt aluminium control enclosure, designed to meet the demands of customers who want their enclosures to be more aesthetically pleasing but without compromising on any of the safety features. This features high-quality extruded
aluminium sections which are naturally anodised as well as single-walled sections that provide outstanding heat dissipation. It is available in a range of colours, enabling manufacturers to personalise them to meet their corporate identity. Corner modules, front and rear panels, as well as the standard version anodised aluminium sections can all be individually powder-coated. This also has a concealed hinge design. The enclosure can be supplied in nine
installation depths, ranging from 75mm to 370mm, and is available in height and width dimensions up to 1000mm. It features integrated recessed grips on the left and right hand side to
provide simple and safe handling. It also meets protection class IP65, meaning it offers total protection from dust ingress as well as water spray from any direction, and will also operate in temperatures ranging from -30˚C to +80˚C. Frames can be used in individual
or multiple combinations and innovative console configurations are possible thanks to a connecting element. In addition, the slimline design is ideal for configuring flat screen systems and, for console versions, the keyboard can be
inclined downwards by 20 or 10 degrees. Other features include all-round mounting
grooves for built-in components, an internally mounted front panel, and door configurations for direct access to the interior.
