SMART PYROMETER for non-contact temperature measurements

the one colour mode or in the Smart Mode below 280°C and in the two colour mode (ratio method) two adjacent wavelengths are used for the temperature determination. This technique offers substantial advantages compared to the standard one colour pyrometers. The temperature measurement is largely independent of the object’s emissivity and in the wide ranges unaffected by dust and other contaminants in the field of view. The measuring object can be smaller than the spot size and the measurement through dirty viewing windows is possible up to a certain amount of contamination. The unique combination of a wide

temperature range, compact size and the new Smart Mode, including the response time of only 2ms for measurement of fast processes, render the IGAR 6 Advanced pyrometer as an ideal measuring solution for many different applications in the industrial manufacturing work place. Major applications include induction heating, hardening, tempering/annealing, brazing, sintering, vacuum processes, coating and laser heat treatment. The IGAR 6 Advanced joins the Series

umaSense’s IGAR 6 Advanced is a digital compact pyrometer with a one colour, two colour and smart operating mode for non-contact temperature measurement in the ranges of between 100 to 2,000°C. This product is unique not only because of the wide temperature range, but also because of its seamless ‘switchover’ technology. This technology is known as the Smart Mode and allows the pyrometer to measure in one colour mode at low temperature of between 100 to 250°C and then able to transition to the two colour mode to provide the measurement at a higher temperature of between 280 to 2,000°C, which is the advantage of this unit.

from one colour to two colour measurement occurs between 250 and 280°C. In addition to this, the pyrometer can operate in one colour mode from temperatures of 100 to 2,000°C and also the two colour mode at temperatures of 250 to 2,000°C.

6 family of highly accurate digital compact infrared thermometers, and is a highly accurate infrared technology. Like LumaSense’s other Series 6 pyrometers, sighting options include through lens sighting, laser targeting and TV module which are available and can be connected to a PC with a RS485 through the USB connection. The company also offers a wide range of useful optional accessories for the unit such as its line optics, completing the LumaSense portfolio.
