Education at Railtex 2017
Comprehensive seminar programme on all 3 show days.
We offer a full and varied educational programme every day at Railtex: there will be keynote addresses, technical seminars, project updates and interactive discussion forums. Speakers will include leading industry figures, senior managers responsible for the implementation of current UK rail projects and representatives of organisations taking part in the show. These will be held in the Seminar Theatre and in The Knowledge Hub – both are located on the show floor and are freely accessible for all attendees.
Technical Seminars
The Rail Engineer is hosting a programme of technical presentations in The Seminar Theatre on the show floor. The
sessions will feature leading industry figures delivering keynote addresses on topical subjects and representatives of exhibiting

Three of the biggest names shaping the rail industry will headline the seminars in daily keynote addresses, including Paul Maynard MP, who will also officially open the exhibition on Tuesday, 9th May 2017.
Paul Maynard MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, Department for Transport
Paul Maynard was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport on the 17 July 2016. He was elected Conservative MP for Blackpool and Cleveleys in 2010. Prior to his parliamentary career Paul worked in politics within the Conservative Party and as part of the think tank Reform. From 2010 to 2012, Paul was appointed
to the Transport Select Committee and has also worked as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Minister for Government, Oliver Letwin. Paul was educated at St Ambrose College, in Altrincham and was awarded a First Class History degree at University College, Oxford.
