SHOW PREVIEW RAILTEX SMALLER JUST

GOT STRONGER PFC100 Controller: High performance packed into a smaller footprint

...Dr Francis Paonessa, who since June 2014 has been Network Rail’s managing director for infrastructure projects. Assuming overall responsibility for the organisation’s renewals and enhancements programmes, he took up this key role after a successful spell in a number of top positions at Bombardier Transportation. On the third day the keynote speaker will be Professor Andrew McNaughton, technical director at High Speed Two, who was appointed to this position in February 2012. Professor McNaughton also performs a number of senior academic and industry advisory roles, and was previously chief engineer at Network Rail.

These speeches form part of an extensive programme of technical seminars, project briefings, industry updates and discussion forums which will take place in the Seminar Theatre and the Knowledge Hub, both set up in the exhibition hall. All will be open to everyone attending the event. A check on the latest programme details, via the show

website, is recommended to help plan a successful visit. Many of the contributions to the

Railtex supporting programme are the result of cooperation with the events’ show partners. The impressive list of these includes Network Rail, High Speed Two, and representing the supply sector are the Railway Industry Association, Rail Alliance and Rail Supply Group. Professional bodies, including the Institution of Engineering and Technology, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, are also supporting the event. The thirteenth Railtex is expected to be very busy. Some 7,500 industry professionals visited the last show in 2015. Entry to this year’s event is free if you register via the website below. Advance registration avoids payment of an entrance fee and gives unrestricted access to the exhibition and its supporting events.
