We need to transport a heavy cargo to Russia, which is a new market

for us. What do we need to know and how can you help us?

All you need to know and provide us with are the route, the cargo details and all the standard cargo information at the flight confirmation stage. We will take care of the rest. We can arrange internal customs transit in Russia, provide delivery to the airport or to the consignee’s door and even take care of customs formalities if needed. Our experienced staff and wide network of partners – airports, handling agents, trucking companies, customs agents, etc, allow us to solve any seemingly difficult logistical puzzle.

OUR EXPERTS

Volga-Dnepr Group’s transport and logistics specialists are on hand 24/7 to offer help and advice to customers and to share the knowledge and expertise accumulated over 26 years of more than 90,000 flight operations to 1,200 airports in over 120 countries, and the delivery of 4 million tonnes of cargo.

Is the IL-76TD-90VD approved for operations to/from Australia?

Yes, it is. The aircraft fully meets ICAO stage 4 limitations for noise and emissions. New PS-90 engines and avionics will allow it to stay in service and compliant with all existing and expected regulations worldwide.

With Volga-Dnepr holding an FOC (Foreign Operator Certificate) in Australia, the process of obtaining charter permits into/out of the country is very straightforward and quick for us. Furthermore, in our effort to be closer to the customers in every region, we try to have at least one aircraft in each region, including APAC, which allows us to keep the charter cost down by minimising positioning costs and offering the “aircraft in the region” pricing.

So what exactly is the “Automotive Vertical” and how is Volga-Dnepr

able to support it?

A vertical industry approach means thinking about a whole industry from raw materials to production, distribution and the aftermarket - all the way up vertically through an industry - rather than just focussing on an individual company or tranche of similar companies. The “Automotive Vertical” can then encompass aluminium, steel and wire manufacturers to Tier 1 and 2 suppliers using those raw materials to make parts for the OEM’s (Original Equipment Manufacturers), OEM’s production supply chain requirements and the distribution of vehicles as well as aftermarket part sales.

At Volga-Dnepr we have a consultative approach whereby we discuss with our customers their challenges and provide our solutions accordingly. It may even mean we use our trucking, land and

contract logistics-based solutions which often leads us to combine many modes from our “Cargo Supermarket” concept to provide a unique door-to-door solution on all modes of transport.
