WELCOME READY TO MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS

Our first issue of Cargo Supermarket of 2017 has a strong equine theme as we celebrate our involvement in two historic horse charters to China and Russia.

Bloodstock regularly travels onboard cargo aircraft to compete in prestigious horse races and breeding programmes all over the world but a shipment of 76 horses on a single Boeing 747-8F from Shannon to Beijing was a first for Irish bloodstock breeders and demonstrated their ability to deliver for customers all over the world.

We are also proud to have operated a second flight in support of the conservation project to reintroduce endangered Przewalski horses in the Ural steppe of Russia following the success of our first flight in late 2015. This latest delivery of 14 horses from the Hortobágy National Park in Hungary is another step in the programme to protect the long-term future of one of the rarest and most endangered subspecies of wild horse on the planet.

These flights, along with some of the other examples of our latest operations reported in this issue, once again demonstrate how diverse our business is and, perhaps more importantly, what we mean when we say we

offer a ‘Cargo Supermarket’ of solutions for our customers. A tangible example of the value of what we do is demonstrated by our work for deugro Airfreight in support of a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) production plant on the Yamal Peninsula in northwest Siberia.

If you can match capability with reliability then you really do have a strong business because it brings customers back time and time again. We have seen two good examples of this recently; the decision by Nippon Express to invite AirBridgeCargo to once again provide transportation services for the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship, and the An-124-100 charter we operated for Air Charter Service carrying Oil&Gas equipment from Switzerland to South Korea.

As well as the continuing upturn in the Oil&Gas industry’s requirements for air logistics solutions, we reflect on the

continued growth of ABC at two of Europe’s biggest air cargo gateways, Amsterdam Schiphol and Frankfurt.

All of this growth is based on listening to the needs of customers and ensuring we are consistently meeting their requirements. The same is true of abcPharma, AirBridgeCargo’s fast-developing pharmaceutical product, which is being developed based on the very strict and heavily-regulated needs of manufacturers and their logistics service providers in this sector. You can read more in this issue.

As always, we are ready to listen to any requirements you have and remain confident of providing you with the best possible solution.
