This training is aimed at advisers experienced in face-to-face advice, who want to develop skills in the delivery of advice via telephone and e-mail. The pre- course e-learning module covers delivering advice by email. This is followed by the face to face day which briefly reviews learning so far, before going on to concentrate on telephone advice. Key topics covered in the face to face course are: looking at the differences between telephone and face-to-face delivery methods; communication skills; call control and development; dealing with difficult calls; call structure and adviser support.
