On the move


Patricia Wilson has joined TSYS, a US- based card processor, as its new chief information officer. Wilson has more than 17 years of experience in the financial services industry, a majority of it spent at Bank of America in a number of senior positions. Prior to joining TSYS, Wilson was global CIO for The Brinks Co.


Meanwhile, Provenir has appointed Paul Spiteri as vice-president of business development in North America. Spiteri joins from Misys, where he spent time as global sales director for lending as well as sales director for North America. He’ll be spending his time at Provenir heading up sales.


Sheh Bertram has joined Bank of Hawaii as CIO, ending a two-year search by the bank to replace outgoing Derek Baughman, who left to join First Hawaiian Bank. Bertram previously spent 18 years at Zions Bancorp, most recently as CIO – a position she had held since 2011. Zions is undergoing a major IT overhaul at present, rolling out a new centralised core banking system, TCS Bancs. At Bank of Hawaii, Bertram will over- see business application management, systems support, business intelligence and information security.


Malta-based RS2 Software has appointed John Elkins as non-executive director. Elkins previously held positions as president of international regions at First Data, senior advisor at McKinsey & Co and executive vice president for Visa Interna- tional. He’ll be stepping into the role with immediate effect.


Not to be confused with RS2, Dublin- based CR2 has appointed Tammo van Leeuwen as market strategy director, through which he will oversee CR2’s marketing, product management and thought leadership. Van Leeuwen has held previous positions at Business Architects International (acquired by Sopra in 2007) as manager of market development and later at Sopra Banking Software as director of product market strategy.

Pedro Porfirio has been appointed as chief product officer at Calypso Technology, where he’ll be responsible for overall prod- uct strategy, development and innovation across all of Calypso’s solutions. Prior to joining Calypso, Porfirio spent 15 years in various leadership roles in Europe and America, including posts at State Street, Dresdner Kleinwort and Lehman Brothers.


SAP has named Pat Bakey as president of industry cloud. He’ll be responsible for the cloud footprint at SAP, which covers 25 industries globally, as well as the finance and supply chain lines at the firm. Bakey has a deep history at the company, having spent 12 years so far there, including roles as president of public services and pres- ident of customer relationship manage- ment. Outside of SAP Bakey can draw on 25 years of experience in the IT industry. Bakey replaces Simon Paris, who has


recently (and unexpectedly) left the vendor to join rival vendor Misys as chief sales officer.


Wells Fargo Capital Finance has announced that Nick Lawrence has been appointed its managing director for supply chain finance. Lawrence has joined the company from GE Capital Bank in London, where he spent time as a commercial leader in the firm’s commercial distribution business. He will oversee the supply chain finances in Europe under the leadership of Steve Hopkins, the company says, with his appointment forming part of an ongoing European expansion strategy.


Citigroup has poached two senior investment bankers specialising in the technology sector M&A from rival Deutsche Bank, according to Reuters. These are San Francisco-based Steve Pettigrew and Samardh Kumar. Pettigrew joined Deutsche Bank in 1997 and specialised in the software sector, including cybersecurity and infra- structure. Kumar’s focus was on digital media and internet deals. He joined the bank in 2002 from Goldman Sachs.


Kevin Covington has joined Consultancy Delta Capita as non-executive director. A former head of ITRS, Covington will take

charge of bringing intellectual property to market and supporting the firm’s manage- ment team. He remains managing director of his own consultancy firm, Change Alley, and will keep an advisory position at ITRS, where he had served as chief executive since 2009.


Alexey Zagorenko has been tapped up by IBM as the sales leader for its financial consulting sector in Russia. Zagorenko has held previous positions at Sopra Banking Software, Misys and CSBI Group, overseeing the progress of these banking software companies in his native Russia. He spent eight years at Sopra Banking Software (and Callataÿ & Wouters before its acquisition by Sopra) prior to his move to IBM.


BlueSnap, meanwhile, has appointed Scott Fitzgerald as its new senior vice- president and head of marketing. Fitzgerlad arrives from ACI Worldwide, where he spent five years as vice-president of marketing and payments. He has also worked with CA Technologies, Hood and Cisco.


Lombard Risk has hired Kieran Lees as its new global sales and marketing director. Lees joins the company in order to oversee and expand its global sales activities. He has previously held positions at Oracle, NCR and Computacenter and will be operating out of Lombard Risk’s London offices.


Julian Eyre has joined GFT from Openlink as senior sales executive. Prior to his work at the risk managements company, he spent seven years working for software vendors DST and Smartstream.


Deloitte UK’s financial services practice has received a boost in the form of James O’Riordan, who has been appointed its leader. O’Riordan switches from Deloitte UK’s insurance and EMEA insurance practice, where he held positions as head and co-head. Joining O’Riordan in the financial


services executive group are David Myers, David Rush and Neil Tomlinson as heads of capital markets, insurance and banking, respectively.
