Senior appointments to the new Ixaris Technologies executive team include Dave Joyce as Chief Operating Officer (who previously held senior positions at Visa Europe) and Doug Gray as Chief Commercial Officer (who has worked in senior commercial roles within ING and Barclaycard). Mifsud adds: “The payments industry is shifting focus towards APIs and technology solutions to help drive open banking, further reinforcing that the time is right to launch a company dedicated to open payments.”


Misys has appointed Mourad Ayachi as European Head of Professional Services and Bob Kubala as Regional Sales Manager for North America for its Investment Management division. Both will support Misys FusionInves, a portfolio and risk management system for buy-side firms.


Ayachi joins from Murex where he was Programme Director for Europe and


North Africa. Kubala was previously Vice President, Sales at FactSet. “I am excited to welcome Mourad and Bob onboard to help drive our growth within the investment management industry,” says Sebastien Roussotte, Managing Director of the Investment Management Division at Misys. “This is a continuation of strong investment in the FusionInvest solution and our focus on operational excellence. Fadata, a provider of insurance policy administration and claims solutions, has appointed John Macdonald as its new CEO. Macdonald has held at range of executive positions at the likes of SAP, Algorithmics, IBM and S&P Capital IQ. He joins Fadata following its acquisition by the Riverside Company and Charles Taylor in December. He says: “We are experiencing a new digital transformation in the insurance sector, one that is changing consumer behaviour and business models. With our state-of-the-art technology, Fadata will help clients seize opportunities to improve the efficiency of existing processes and to create new value for their customers.”


Wealth management solutions provider, JHC Systems, has appointed Amir Hakim as its new Head of Wealth Solutions. Hakim was previously Head


of Product and Sales at Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS), and he has also worked with several business process outsourcing (BPO) providers across the UK, including BNY Mellon Pershing, BNP Paribas Securities Services and OMX Securities, previously known as Platform Securities.

Cross-border payment network, Earthport, has announced that Chris Cowlard is stepping down as Chief Operating Officer and a member of the board. Daniel Marovitz, currently President of Earthport Europe, will move into a new role as President - COO of EarthportPrior to joining Earthport, Marovitz served as Head of Product Management for Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Bank from 2007-2011 and as a member of the board of this division. During his 11 year tenure at Deutsche Bank, he had a number of roles, including Chief Information Officer of the investment bank. He was a founding member of SWIFT’s Innotribe group and is a frequent speaker on technology and banking subjects.
