On the move


There has been a change at Oracle Finan- cial Services Software in Asia Pacific, with Kishore Kapoor stepping down as EVP and head of sales in the region. He was one of the last remaining senior managers who moved across when Oracle acquired I-flex Solutions. His responsibilities have been passed to the company’s CEO and general manager, Chet Kamat. There is no change at the helm in EMEA, where Nikos Gout- soulas continues to report to Kamat.


SIX Payment Services has a new head of financial services. This is Andrej Eichler who has moved from Erste Bank, where he was CEO of EGCP, the Austrian bank’s card processor. He has also worked at First Data, Fiducia IT AG and GZS. His main focus in the new role will be sales and developing relationships with banks, issu- ers, acquirers, network operators and oth- er players in SIX’s markets of Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Italy, and central and eastern Europe.


Greece-based Advantage FSE has recruit- ed Jacob Christiansen as MD for global strategy and business development. He was most recently with Fiserv, where he had held a number of sales and operation- al roles. Advantage FSE is a Fiserv partner in its home region and has developed a couple of applications around that suppli- er’s Signature core banking system. These comprise AIBAS for internet banking and the Advantage Payment System.


Misys has appointed Herbert Leonelli as business development manager for bank- ing solutions. He was previously UK busi- ness development manager for Greece- based banking systems supplier, Profile Software, which had a breakthrough a few months ago with a win at one of the UK’s new entrants, Civilised Bank (IBS Journal, April 2015).


Another addition to the Misys family is Gordon Chan, who has joined the vendor as head of marketing in North America. Chan moves from rival vendor Calypso, where he spent over seven years as direc- tor of global marketing.

Meanwhile, Calypso has recruited a new head of professional services and SVP, Mehdi Miri. Miri joins from ANZ Bank in Singapore where he had a five-year ten- ure as global head of product modelling and analytics, global markets. Prior to this, he spent 13 years at Calypso’s major rival, Murex, where he was first head of the FX options unit in France and then head of front office, APAC.


Ian Manocha has joined UK-based Gresham Computing as CEO. He replaces Chris Errington, who has stepped down five years into the role and moved to the Gresham board as a non-executive director. Manocha moves from SAS, where he had a lengthy career spanning 15 years, starting as a UK sales director and leaving as VP of EMEA and Asia Pacific business units.


Charanjit Attra, 3i Infotech’s executive director, new business initiatives, strate- gy and finance, has resigned. According to the vendor, this is due to his decision ‘to pursue opportunities in the areas of advisory services relating to accounting and auditing on lnd AS (converged IFRS)’. Attra spent three years at 3i Infotech, hav- ing joined the vendor in mid-2012 from its major shareholder, ICICI.


Infosys has appointed R Seshasayee as non-executive chairman of the board, as the incumbent, KV Kamath, steps down. Seshasayee has been an independent director on Infosys’ board since Janu- ary 2011 and is also the chairman of the audit committee. In addition, he holds other board positions, including that of a non-executive chairman at IndusInd Bank.


Sungard’s new post-trade derivatives util- ity has gone live and as of mid-August will have Andrew Whyte at its helm as presi- dent. Whyte will join from Goldman Sachs, bringing nearly two decades of technolo- gy and operations experience. His previous employers include JP Morgan and KPMG. The post-trade utility stems from a


partnership with Barclays (IBS Journal, April 2015), which is the utility’s anchor customer.

The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foun- dation (GLEIF), supporting the global roll- out of the legal entity identifier (LEI), has onboarded Karla McKenna as its new head of standards. McKenna is Citi’s director of market practice and standards, a member of the board and executive committee of Accredited Standards Committee X9 (ASC X9) and a member of the board of the Inter- national Securities Association for Institu- tional Trade Communication (ISITC). She also chairs the ISO Technical Committee 68 (ISO/TC 68), financial services, which devel- oped the ISO 17442 standard, and the Secu- rities Market Practice Group (SMPG). She has joined GLEIF on a secondment agreed with Citi for a one-year tenure.


JP Morgan in Singapore has a new head of infrastructure, APAC. This is Lalitha Bid- dulph, who has joined from Telstra, where she had a three-year tenure as IT director, enterprise services. Her previous experi- ence includes senior management roles in technology, strategy and business transfor- mation at Commonwealth Bank of Australia and American Express.


Meanwhile, Siew Choo Soh has left JP Morgan to join DBS Bank as head of core banking technology. She had a long spell at JP Morgan, having joined the bank in the mid-1990s, and most recently was MD and head of its banking technology in Asia.


It is understood that Vikram Sud has left Citi where he was Asia Pacific operations and technology head. Sud joined Citi back in 1986, but left in the mid-2000s to join Kotak Mahindra Bank as group COO. He then returned to Citi in 2011.


Linedata has launched lending and leas- ing operations from its London office, as it hopes to grow its presence in the UK and Northern Europe. Johnnie Halliday has been recruited as director of sales of Lend- ing & Leasing UK, bringing with him over 30 years of experience in technology sales. His previous employers include Field Solu- tions (now Cassiopae), Netsol Technologies and Pitney Bowes.
