tions services provider, has appointed Paul Townsend as a non-executive director. Townsend has 15 years’ experience in the electronic payments sector and over 20 years working in banking. He is currently MD of Vitesse PSP, which he established in 2013, and his e-com- merce payments experience includes the role of chief strategy officer at Worldpay where he was part of the e-commerce sen- ior management team as well as a mem- ber of the company’s senior leadership team. He is also one of the founders and COO of Envoy Services, established in 2005 (acquired by Worldpay in 2011). Joe Garner, the chief executive of


BT’s Openreach division will become the new CEO at Nationwide Building Society.

Garner, who joined BT less than two years ago, will move to the building society in the spring, soon after Ofcom (the UK’s com- munications regulator) is due to publish proposals on the future of Openreach. Garner says he was first approached

sultancy, has appointed Elesh Khakhar as MD in its UK office. Khakhar was director of strategic business accounts for Hewl- ett-Packard (HP), focusing on the energy sector and major accounts. Before that, he was at ISG (a market intelligence and advi- sory services company – formerly known as TPI) as a partner, EMEA CIO services and strategic deals. Khakhar has had previous experience in the financial services sector; his past roles include head of infrastruc- ture for Halifax Group treasury and whole- sale banking and VP of technology for JP Morgan. Jones has spent more than 20 years in financial services and technol- ogy, and chairs the advisory board for mobile innovator Ensygnia and the glob- al advisory board for the Centre for Stra- tegic Cybercrime & Security Science and is a founding advisory board member for GiveADay UK. She is also a member on the advisory board of the Emerging Payments Association. Taylor has more than 20 years of experience in finance and payments and is currently serving as MD of Azure Finance, an FCA-regulated finance firm.
