Saudi Hollandi Capital in asset management automation

Saudi Hollandi Capital (SHC) has selected India-based vendor Miles Software’s Money- ware platform for its asset management. SHC, a subsidiary of Saudi Hollandi


Bank, began its search for a new supplier in 2014. The company, according to Miles Software, was looking to automate ‘its entire operations’ for portfolio manage-


ment, trust management and back office operations. Now it’s selected Miles Software, the


firm’s Moneyware solution will be replacing SHC’s portfolio legacy system, run by Bahraini vendor Mubasher, as well as the its mutu- al funds operations, currently managed by Temenos’ T24 platform.


All of SHC’s portfolio and funds man-


agement operations will be shifted over to Moneyware following implementation, the vendor says.


SHC will be provided with an integrated


CRM, as well as delivery channels through the internet, tablets, mobiles and a call centre. Alex Hamilton


Norwegian mobile payment service Valyou shuts shop


Norwegian mobile payment service Valy- ou’s owners have decided to wind down the company. Despite Apple and Samsung using a


similar technical platform, the company was unable to capitalise on sufficient num- bers.


Valyou says on its website: ‘The com-


bination of slower than expected activa- tion of NFC enabled POS terminals and the engagement of more banks and mobile operators into the co-operation has result- ed in a much lower than expected end user uptake.’


Existing Valyou users were able to pay


in stores until 30th November 2015 when the service was stopped. The company adds: ‘Users are assured


that they need do nothing with their SIM cards and that all bank cards in their mobile wallet will be automatically deleted by the user’s bank. All users will have by now

already received this information on SMS.’ Valyou says its app will, from immedi-


ate effect, no longer be available for down- load from Google Pay.
