ARA Convention Schedule Highlights (tentative)


WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 7th: ARA Registration starts from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Some of the day’s highlights include the Board of Directors meeting to be held from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and the Yard Tour and BBQ at Matlock’s Used Cars and Parts. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 8th: ARA registration opens at 7:00 a.m. and continues to 5:30 p.m. Educational sessions will be held all day from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with a break for the Annual Membership Meeting with Committee Reports. That meeting is scheduled from noon until 1:30 p.m. The first keynote session will be held from 3:40 p.m.-4:40 p.m. and the Past Presidents Reception and Exposition Opening will be held from 5:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9th: ARA registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and will continue until 5:00 p.m. The LARA (Ladies of Automotive Recyclers Association) breakfast will be held from 7:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. Educational and key note sessions will be held all day starting at 8:40 a.m. and the Expo will be open from 1:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The annual ARA Awards Dinner and Presidential Gavel Passing Ceremony will be held from 6:30 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. during which the Scholarship Foundation raffle drawing will also take place. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 10th: Registration will be open from 8:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. The Exposition opens at 8:00 a.m. and will feature breakfast service. It will close at noon. The final educational sessions of this year’s convention will be held from 12:10 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Transportation to Charlotte Motor Speedway leaves the Westin hotel at 3:30 p.m. for an exciting evening of NASCAR Racing at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
