Texan Stowaway Causes Mid-Air Commotion on British Airways Flight
PASSENGERS on a BA flight from Austin Texas to London Heathrow were forced to clamber from their seats after two passengers spotted a scorpion in the cabin. It happened just before the transatlantic flight from Austin, Texas was due to land at London Heathrow.
Cabin crew conducted a hunt for the sneaky arachnid but couldn’t locate it.
Passengers were moved to other vacant seats and it landed safely without incident. British Airways hasn’t said whether the scorpion was later found.

EASYJET has celebrated carrying 70 million passengers to and from Belfast International Airport. To mark the occasion the airline surprised the Brennan family from Belfast, flying today from Belfast to Lyon, with free easyJet return flights. Other celebrations, including
cake giveaways,
happened at the airport throughout the morning. The milestone celebrations come following easyJet’s plans for expansion at Belfast International Airport this summer which will see an additional Airbus A320 family aircraft join the base from next summer along with the launch of two new summer routes from Belfast to the popular Greek island of Rhodes and Antalya in Turkey, offering customers in Northern Ireland even more choice when it comes to picking a beach holiday destination.
Finnair Celebrate 100 Years With A Moomin
SWANSEA Airport’s refuelling and
operating licence has been suspended by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) due to a ‘systemic failure of safety management.’ The airport only recently announced plans to launch commercial passenger flights for the first time in
nearly years.
British Tourists Rescued in the Algarve BRITISH holidaymakers have been rescued following a boating accident in the Algarve.
The tourist boat was approximately 600 metres off the
Portuguese coast when it began taking on water. There were 36 adults and four children onboard. The Portimao Maritime Police and Ferragudo Lifeguard Station received an alert at around 1.25pm and all passengers were rescued.
Man Jailed After £1m Cannabis Discovery at UK Airport
A MAN has been jailed after an estimated £1m worth of cannabis was discovered at a UK airport.
The man will face four years and eight months in prison after the discovery was made at East Midlands Airport. Border Force confirmed they found 260 bags of the substance which was sent from an address in Los Angeles; The parcel was described as ‘machinery for dry cleaning’. The man, Curtis
was later arrested four days after the find.

TAIWAN has revealed plans to boost tourism with a new scheme. The scheme is said to see the country pay tourists to visit. Taiwan’s Premier Chen Chien-jen announced the government of Taiwan are aiming to welcome a minimum of 6 million tourists in 2023, alongside 10 million visitors to the nation by 2025.
