March/April 2023 SPRING INTO... DISNEYLAND!

THIS year Disneyland Paris is celebrating the Grand Finale of its 30th Anniversary. Up until 30th September 2023, guests can dream bigger, laugh louder and smile wider with jaw-dropping shows, new attractions and experiences that will make the end of this once-in-a-lifetime celebration more special than ever.

As a child I spent most of my school holidays in the Isle of Man - and although there was a these-park, it’s just not Disneyland. It took me until adulthood, the ripe old age of 24, to make my first visit to Disneyland Paris.

Park,

Fantasy is reality in Disneyland where

classic Disney tales

and

Star Wars legends ar e brought to life like nowhere else. We had chosen to

end

on the childhood classic, It’s A Small World. We also stayed for the late night fireworks. I was living my best life. However, that I’m planning to return with my young son, one thing I learned from my first trip was that one day was not enough. We didn’t even get to peek into Walt Disney Studio as it took us an entire day to explore Disneyland. Now

I’m planning for a three night break and we will be staying at one of the park hotels.

Take a walk through Disneyland’s five enchanted lands with me.

First thing you see when you walk through the ticket gates of Disneyland is Main Street, USA. This is where your fairytale

short-break in Paris with a day of fun in Disneyland. We spent three days exploring the delights of Paris, open top bus tours, coffee beside Notre Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe, climbing the Eiffel Tower,

visiting the

Louvre, the iconic Père Lachaise Cemetery,

browsing books from

the sellers lining city’s streets, lunching Parisian-style with fresh bread, cheese and wine in a picnic by the Seine by day and by night, eating pizza and drinking wine as we watched roller-bladers take over the bridge beside Notre Dame with make-shift ramps and freestyle tricks. We had saved our final day for

Disney, and boy were we excited! On the train from our Paris hotel to the Disneyland park I was just as excited (if not more) as the six year-old sitting across the

full

of shops, restaurants and other hidden secrets. As you approach the end of the street, take in the magical view of the fairytale turrets of Sleeping Beauty Castle stretching up towards the sky.

Pick yourself up some Disney Ears (an absolutely outrageously expensive souvenir, but also an absolute

must) here on Main

Street and see if you can find the hidden doorways inside the two arcades at either side.

Feel the magic of Disney fairy tales in Fantasyland!

Just like in the classic Disney

films, Fantasyland brings the tales and legends from your childhood to life. Take flight with Peter Pan, lose yourself in Alice’s Curious Labyrinth or head to Princess Pavilion for a resplendently royal encounter. Top rides and attractions such

as Le Chateau de la Belle au Bois Dormant, the classic It’s a Small World ride, Peter Pan’s flights, Les de

We spent the day seeking out at the big thrill rides - Big Thunder Mountain, Indiania Jones and the Temple of Peril, Prates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain: Mission 2 (my personal favourite, we rode it several times). We only stopped for a quick lunch before going off again to explore the Haunted House and taking a whirl

explore the ancient ruins of a temple bursting with mysteries, go on a safari in the heart of Africa or follow Aladdin through the charmed streets of Agrabah. Climb aboard the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction
