Antalya is a cultural, tourist haven located on the Mediterranean coast of turkey. It is known for its historical archaeology and beauty and is quickly becoming the most popular area within Turkey and along the Mediterranean coast. Visitors can see Roman ruins, explore forests, and swim in the warm blue bays of the Mediterranean, all whilst enjoying the tasteful delights of Turkey and the rich history the city, area, and country showcases across.

resort cities, with yachts filling a prize-winning marina, state of the art golf courses and designer shops to make it a glamorous destination for a dreamy getaway for all ages.
Tourists enjoy the city of Antalya for its hot tropical temperature; sunshine is guaranteed in the area with average water temperatures being 21.5 degrees Celsius- A perfect warm for those wanting to take a dip in the blues of the med. The city enjoys a summer season which lasts up to 9 months long each year with beaming sunshine and dry air. Understandably, the population here doubles during summer months due to this. Sightseeing is a must when visiting the city of Antalya. You can visit the mesmerising City Walls, where the memorial of Hadrian Arch, as well as the clock tower, sits. Both of which date back to the Hellenistic era. The maze-like neighbourhood of Kaleici is at the heart of the city. This refurbished tourist centre has a lot on offer for all visitors alike such as restaurants, entertainment facilities, shops art galleries and boutique hotels. With red roofed mansions lining the cobblestone streets of Kaleici, it is one place which retains it’s historical characteristics as it is situated in the old town area of
Antalya. Kaleici offers the Antalya Electric bike tour which can make a four hour sight-seeing venture a lot easier. They also offer the Antalya city tour which gives you the opportunity to get a walking tour of Old Town and Kaleici as well as a one-hour boat tour trip starting from the Roman harbour sightseeing the the coastline. You also get a a visit to Antalya’s aquarium which includes lunch, snacks and pick-up and drop-off from your hotel. Antalya’s only Museum is another tourist attraction centre which is one of the most recognisable archaeology museums of the world. With the city exhibiting it’s most well known historical features, Hadrian’s gate is an ornamental marble arch decorated with sculptured decorations that was built by Romans in honour of their Emperor Hadrian in 2nd century BC. Hadrian’s Gate is the entrance to the old town You can also experience the beauty of the elegant fluted minaret of the Yivli Minareli Mosque and appreciate the intricate tile work. this mosque is considered the symbol of the Turkish city that was restored in 1953 and 1961 by the Cultural Heritage and Museums. The amazing exhibits in this museum date back to the bronze age. The Antalya Aquarium is an attraction popular for families in the city and is located close to Konyaalti beach. It features one of the world’s biggest tunnels and gives you the chance to see many types of fish from all over the world. Another ancient site worth visiting is the city of Perge east of Antalya. Purge was inhabited back in 1209 BCE and was ruled by persians, Alexander the Great and the Romans. in the past years greek mosaics have been found. Waterfalls just a short drive from the city of Antalya where you can watch with the most perfect views as the waterfalls descend straight into the sea. A park has been created to help you get the most out of this site. The park has been built for children with scenic terraces and a zip-line over the river. Take in more of Antalya’s beautiful scenery at Tahtali Mountain, the mountain is located in the district of Kemer, west of Antalya city centre, within the Beydağları National Park. Although the mountain is quite close to the Kemer coastline, the top of the mountain is exactly 2,365 off the ground. This means that on your journey to the top, you can take in the vast and beautiful coast of Antalya. This experience is invigorating and refreshing, offering sights of the city that can’t be achieved from lower levels. For some adventurers, the hike is well worth the effort. However, if braving the inclines in the hot Antalya Sun isn’t quite your style. Travellers can reach up to 600th meter of the mountain by vehicles. After that point, visitors can hop into the Olympos Cable Car which carries you to the summit. This is a far more relaxing option, where travellers can sit and relax all while feeling the majesty of the mountain. While also watching the blue of the Mediterranean on the other hand, travellers find themselves at an altitude of 2,365 in about 10 minutes. The Olympos Cable car operates from dusk to dawn, offering travellers the opportunity to see the Antalya Sunrise and Sunset.
You can also visit Antalya’s old harbour which used to be one of their most economical areas bringing in trade from its main port, but now claims a more peaceful and quieter atmosphere while you take in the beauty of the Mediterranean Sea. You can also find yourself hopping on a day tour boat excursion to soak up the sun and appreciate the views of the sea. The port is one of the most popular places in Antalya but it’s almost impossible to avoid the beauty of this area if you choose to take a walk by Antalya’s old quarter. Antalya’s Old Harbour is the beauty heart of the area, acting as the central hub for many offered excursions. The Old Harbour is the meeting point for many of the famous boat excursions that Antalya offers. Including the boats that transport travellers to see the beauty of the Duden waterfalls. This is the perfect beach to visit with a promenade filled with shops, cafes, and restaurants to pick up drinks and snacks while you’re visiting. Another beach to visit is Lara Beach south of Antalya’s centre and is notorious for its soft white sand. Like Konyaalti beach, Lara beach is packed with cafes and restaurants. However, Facilities which are family friendly. these include jet-ski rentals and paddle boards to keep you occupied if you prefer being more active whilst on holiday. Sun loungers and umbrellas can be rented from both beaches for those who prefer to relax in the sun.
