On the Boardwalk
Atlantic City’s famous Boardwalk is at the heart of all the action and a stroll along it is almost obligatory! It’s a people-watching paradise and there’s plenty of entertainment too, from Ripley’s Believe it or Not museum to Steel Pier, plus casinos, restaurants, shopping and an array of beach-based activities. Visit at night and you’ll experience various light and sound shows.
T e Absecon Lighthouse was opened in 1857 to help mariners navigate the challenging shoreline. Visitors can climb its 228 steps to enjoy panoramic views across Atlantic City. It is New Jersey’s tallest lighthouse and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
T e Wheel at Steel Pier
Atlantic City is constantly on the move with new visitor attractions like the Steel Pier Observation Wheel, which is the third largest in the US and stands 220 feet high with 40 climate controlled gondolas.
