Registration Opens for CLIA’s Inaugural Overseas Expedition Showcase
AGENTS can now register for Cruise Line International Association’s (CLIA) first overseas Expedition Showcase. The event, taking place from July 16-
20, 2025, will be held in Longyearbyen, in
the Svalbard archipelago. The
destination is one of the primary starting points for Arctic expedition departures. The showcase will include ships visits with AE Expeditions, Ponant, Quark Expeditions and Swan Hellenic, as well
as business sessions, local excursions, hosted lunches and two hosted dinners. Due to the more remote location, CLIA
has prepared a packaged registration bundle including return flights from London with SAS Scandinavian Airlines, airport to hotel transfers and four nights accommodation with breakfast. A limited number of places for the Showcase are available.

In this newly-created role reporting directly into Karen Cameron, Ambassador’s Deputy Head of Trade, Peter will be responsible for growing and deepening relationships with key clients to maximise account penetration and sales generation and grow the company’s footprint within key accounts.
With Ambassador ships Ambience and Ambition serving eight UK departure ports, the role will see Peter drive Ambassador’s sales agenda,
generating new business
opportunities across the country and coordinating activity for marketing opportunities and trade events.
A new travel consultancy business ‘Travel Nomads’ has launched, aiming to bring travel entrepreneurs’ dreams to life and enable businesses to achieve their growth potential. Founded by travel professional Danny Waine, remote-based Travel Nomads will aim to offer a suite of services to travel agents, tour operators and the wider travel and tourism ecosystem.
