SOUTHAMPTON is set for another record year of cruise traffic with more people that ever looking for a no-fly cruise option. That’s according to a recent survey of 5,000 Iglu


Cruise customers, who attributed factors such as ‘easy access from across the UK (including NI)’, ‘a wide range of itineraries’, ‘easy parking’ and ‘accessibility for disabled travellers’ as the top reasons why Southampton was their departure port of choice. Dave Mills, chief commercial officer at Iglu


Cruise, said: “Once holidaymakers have departed for the first time from Southampton, they tend to never look back, given how straightforward and pleasant the experience is.” The research suggests a record number of cruisers will sail from Southampton in 2025.
