The Association For Manufacturing Technology Selected as National Partner to Grow Apprenticeships in Manufacturing The Association For Manufactur-
ing Technology is proud to be part- nering with the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS), which has been selected by the United States Department of Labor as an industry intermediary to support the expansion of registered apprenticeships within manufacturing. AMT will work with NIMS to increase access to apprentice- ships and assist employers in develop- ing new programs that reach diverse talent pools.
As part of this initiative,
$500,000 is available to support com- panies in establishing a registered ap- prenticeship program with the Depart- ment of Labor. “For over two decades, NIMS has

NIMS will focus on providing companies with tools and resources to develop customized registered apprenticeship programs. These programs combine on-the-job training with job-related classroom instruction and meet national standards for registration with the Department of Labor or State Apprenticeship Agencies.

is responsible for sales
growth in the Specialty Alloys, Non- Ferrous Metals, Industrial Process Heating, Power Generation and Mining industries, working closely with Engineering and Product Development with the goal of innovating solutions to improve customers’ business performance. Caitlynn comes to us from CHA Consulting, Inc. where she was a transportation engineer responsible for the development of rail and highway projects. Caitlynn holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a licensed Professional Engineer. “We are committed to the success of our customers and are pleased to add Caitlynn to our team in support of that mission,” commented Jack Parrish, Blasch Precision Ceramics President and Chief Operating Officer. “We are looking forward to the contributions that she will make, as well as the expansion of capabilities that we now have.”
