3.2.2 Macrobenthic Faunal Data 102. All 39 grab samples (from the East Anglia THREE and FOUR cable route) were successfully collected for macrofaunal analysis. Raw data including infaunal and epifaunal species abundance generated from the analysis of the faunal samples are available in Appendix Q. The data are presented with the relevant AphiaID included as a reference to names currently accepted by the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS) (Appeltans et al., 2012). Biomass (as blotted wet weight) per major phyla was also recorded and the results presented in Appendix R.
103. A total of 156 taxa were recorded from the grab samples collected and the total number of individuals recorded was 1,006. The percentage contribution by each of the major taxonomic groups in terms of number of species and abundance is presented in Figure 3.4a and b respectively. Their distribution across the survey area is presented in Figure 4.5 and Figure 4.6.
