The BCtouch UX has a large multi-touch display with a new visualisation concept. The user interface offers simple, familiar operating concepts known from tablets or smart phones (such as multi-touch zoom, as well as move and slide functions). The advanced functions of the BCtouch UX control support efficient production planning and preventive maintenance intervals, says the comany. In addition, it fulfills the requirements for connectivity with servers and mobile appliances – so is also suited to Industry 4.0 applications.

Local production Many local Chinese companies are now beginning to flex their muscles and develop technology that can compete on international markets. Nanjing KY Chemical Machinery, for instance, will launch a novel technology: a differential speed, co-rotating, non-twin screw extruder. It uses two non-identical screws to achieve polymer processing at different speeds, which overturns the commonly held belief that identical shape and equal speeds are necessary for co-rotating screw extruders. The two screws rotate at different speeds, but can successfully achieve self-cleaning. At the same time, Sichuan Goldstone Orient New Material Equipment will present its technology and


equipment for making steel-reinforced corrugated pipe. Compared to the previous generation of equipment, it has more advanced production processes, high performance and better forming quality of pipes, says the company. In addition cost can be reduced by up to 15%, and mould switching time by 50% – while produc- tion speed has been increased by 20%, without any loss in quality. The equipment can produce pipes with a stiffness of SN8-SN16 and diameters of 300-3000mm, mainly for underground drainage, sewage pipes, agricultural irrigation and other applications. Technology is mainly used for the production of large diameter Krah pipes, with a working range of OD300- OD4000 and different ring stiffnesses. The line can be equipped with sets of extruders, double layer flat die head and double layer coating die head as an option. This efficient, energy-saving extruder, which is equipped with servo-motors and a high precision gearbox, enables stable, reliable production. It is also installed with advanced software and can achieve high automation and high product uniformity. By combining different components, the line can


produce square profiled pipe and manholes. A ‘European-style’ high speed polyethylene extrusion


line from Zhangjiagang City Yili Machinery features high speed and capacity with low power consumption. It has a spiral mould structure design with an internal pipe cooling system, and can also offer high speed material feeding with a special spiral groove feeding design and external water jacket cooling.
