About Us


Custom Compost is the compost manufacturing facility of the Walsh Mushrooms Group selling circa 1,800 tons/week of bulk Phase 3 compost. We are currently undergoing a significant 5 year capital expenditure programme and are looking for a General Manager (GM) and a Senior Technical Manager (STM) to join us on this exciting journey. About The Positions, Responsibilities • These are high-level positions and the successful candidates will report directly to the Managing Director whilst working with all management and staff members.


• The candidates will learn, take control of, and ultimately be responsible for the day to day management of the entire facility, respectively:


GM: all matters relating to the management team and staff, and of all KPIs etc. STM: all matters relating to technical, quality assurance and standards.


• Both managers to ensure the facility is run to all the highest international standards.


• Both managers to motivate, develop, and inspire their respective management teams.


• The GM candidate especially needs to be happy doing hands-on, hands-dirty product assessment to properly monitor product quality.


The Ideal Candidates • Minimum qualification is a Diploma or Degree in a relevant discipline and/or a minimum of 5 years’ experience at a similar or higher level of responsibility


or, alternatively, 9 years’ work experience at an appropriate level in lieu of a degree.


• Demonstrated track record of managing high performance management & technical teams.


• Demonstrated leadership, people management, and communication skills.


Desirable Qualities • Dedicated, results-oriented, high-energy and hardwor- king self-starters with stamina and mental quickness. Excellent organisational skills and with the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment and inspire the highest standards.


• A track record of sustained loyalty to current or recent employers is required.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the English language and I.T. skills including Word and Excel.
