NEWS Ies Hooglugt joins Lambert Spawn


Ies Hooglugt (45) will join the sales team of Lam- bert Spawn Europa b.v. on 1 September 2014, that consists of Eric Vernooij and Jan Baltussen at the moment. The new Dutch guy will also work on pro- duct development and provide cultivation advice to the growers.


Hooglugt brings 25 years of experience in the Agaricus sector. After his education and some years of experience on farms, het worked as manager at Mecham NV in Belgium. In 2000 he started working with Leon Knoops in Lierop, where he supervised the building of a new white button mushroom farm. In 2001, the first five growing rooms were built for me- chanical harvesting. Hooglugt has since developed the growth of Funghi Farms b.v. to the current extent of 42.000 m2 cultivation surface. Lambert Spawn Europa b.v. is internationally active in introducing new spawn varieties. On the basis of succesfull introductions since 2011, the company has high expectations for the near future. ◗
