Sales manager Bryan Ford from the Irish com- pany Holfeld Plastics with RPET punnets, made of recy- cled material

nets at Fruit Logistica. It was the company’s first visit to Berlin, and they expect to be an interesting commercial partner thanks to the lower production costs, flexibi- lity and customised products. From Mumbai , Ankit Bhargava, vice president of AVI, expects that sea freight shipments will take three weeks to reach Europe. Carton Pack from Italy presented a new variation on re- cycled plastic at the exhibition - the IPET. This material is 40% lighter than RPET, as the polymers are stretched. These containers are cheaper and kinder to the envi- ronment as less raw material is used. The punnets feel quite pliant, but according to the company, a flowpack film creates sufficient rigidity.

During our visit, we also bumped into Henk Douven at the Dofra Foodtec BV stand. The mushroom division of the company produces installations that automa- tically water mushrooms, as well as other harvesting and processing equipment. Douven still does some sales activities for Dofra through his own company Hedonk. Armed with his many years of experience with mushrooms, he provides sales and consultancy services to the international mushroom sector (info@ hedonk.nl). The Greenery, finally, refused to talk to any media representatives. And neither did their press officer. Just so you know. ◗
