Hello and welcome to the February/March issue of Tomorrow’s Laboratories.

Firstly, we wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed to and read the inaugural issue of Tomorrow’s Laboratories. We were overwhelmed with the response we received and we hope you enjoyed the issue as much as we enjoyed putting it together. With this said, we’re excited to bring you our latest issue and the first issue of 2017.

We had an ideal opportunity to showcase our first issue when we exhibited at the Lab Innovations Show in Birmingham back in November. It seems an age away now but it was valuable experience and it was great to meet so many new faces there. From one show to another, in this issue we take a look at what happened at MEDLAB, which took place in Dubai this February. Turn to page 16 to see the highlights from the first standalone version of MEDLAB Exhibition & Congress.

This month we’re focusing on Forensic Laboratories, Autoclaves, Cosmetic Testing and Diagnostic Kits and Reagents. From a 3D Bioprinter that can print actual human skin, to the latest developments in diagnostic services; our feature sections are bursting with a variety of interesting comment, innovations, and case studies.

Elsewhere in the issue, we found out what it’s like to work in vehicle development, using simulators to help with the research and development process. Turn to page 36 to read about an average working day for Ian Haigh, Senior Development Enigneer at Ansible Motion, in our ‘Day in the Life’ feature.

As usual, we also have the latest in business news, research developments and product innovations for you to peruse.

Happy reading!
