Welcome to the June issue of Tomorrow’s Health & Safety. I hope you are all well!
Here at THS HQ we are very excited for the 2016 Safety & Health Expo which is set to be a bustling, informative couple of days filled to the brim with educational content, product launches and networking events.
You can find a more in depth break down of the event’s structure and what to expect in our Show Guide here.
Elsewhere in this month’s edition we take a look at the ‘Child Safety First’ campaign, launched by Busy Bees Early Years Training Academy and Ronald McDonald House Charities, designed to raise awareness of the importance of paediatric first aid training.
The features section also looks at the importance of face-fit testing when using Personal Protective Equipment and A-Safe shines a light on the real costs of workplace accidents.
Our Waste Disposal & Recycling feature explores the Waste Industry Safety & Health forum (WISH) comprising HSE staff, operatives at FCC Environment and individuals at North Kesteven District Council, established to saving lives and reduce accidents and ill health in the waste sector.
On a higher plain, our Working at Height section features industry comment from ANT Telecom, Capital Safety, WernerCo and Citation all of which look at how effective communication, training and equipment can make elevated working a safer practice.
