“PHS GREENLEAF HAS SEEN A 35%

GROWTH IN FMS OUT

SOURCING CHRISTMAS DISPLAYS IN THE LAST THREE YEARS.”

INTERESTING FACTS:

• On the basis that the average light length is 5m, this would give us just over 10.5 miles of lighting

• All lights LED

• LEDS are energy efficient, super bright and last for years

• Approximate stock in Star City of Baubles is 1.03 million

• The tallest tree they have installed is 45Ft

• PHS installed over 800 real trees last year

• ...and 2,816 replica trees

• PHS Greenleaf is four times the size of their biggest competitor

• They offer 21 different designs where the nearest competitor offers just 10

soldier-like trees just waiting to be trimmed by the team.

TRAVELLING TREES With clients all over the country, it

is not just a design and health and safety operation but a logistical one too, how do you ship thousands of upstanding pre-decorated trees across the country without damaging them? Each tree (all the replica ones are ready now), once completed, has its own cone-like travel jacket, to protect the baubles in transit and to prevent the trees from becoming lacklustre with dust in the interim period. The fake Firs are then strapped onto their very own pallet ready to take their final journey to the facilities of the UK.

HOW LONG ‘TIL

CHRISTMAS? Whilst I was there, I was asked to order a tree and a wreath for our own office at Tomorrow’s FM HQ, (I chose Winter Frosty, in case you’re interested) so now I can’t wait for it to arrive – it’s just a shame we’ve still got 13 weeks until Christmas!
