POLYFLOR CREATES EYE-CATCHING DESIGN AT HAVERING COLLEGE Flooring from Polyflor, UK commercial and residential vinyl flooring specialist, was recently used to create a unique, geometric floor design for a new STEM learning centre at Havering College of Further and Higher Education in Hornchurch, Greater London.

High performance vinyl flooring from Polyflor’s Classic Mystique PUR range was installed by local flooring contractor Neil Handley in the Havering Innovation in Science, Engineering and Technology Hub (Hi-SET Hub). Three complementary grey shades from this homogeneous vinyl flooring collection - Smokestone, Nocturne and Quartz – were selected to produce the striking design that was paired with bright furniture from Rapid Office Systems.

Polyflor’s experienced in-house Design Service team used water jet technology to precisely cut the Classic Mystique sheet vinyl flooring into pieces so this design could be put together at Havering College. This technology can be used to produce virtually any shape, pattern or logo from Polyflor’s high-performance vinyl flooring.

Tony Wittridge, Head of Commercial Enterprise & Marketing at Havering College, commented: “We’re delighted with the finished result that has been achieved in our new Hi-SET Hub. The eye-catching flooring design looks really impressive and we’ve had some great feedback from students, staff and visitors since the centre opened.”

Available in 16 colours, the hardwearing Classic Mystique range is enhanced with PUR, Polyflor’s exclusive and robust polyurethane reinforcement which is cross-linked and UV- cured to provide superior cleaning.

The Classic Mystique PUR flooring range contains recycled content, is 100% recyclable through the Recofloor vinyl take back scheme and has been individually certificated with a BRE Global A+ rating for education environments. Product samples can be ordered free of charge on the Polyflor website or by calling the Polyflor Samples Direct Hotline on 0161 767 2551.
