With over 170 exhibitors, there is bound to be something for everyone at this year’s Flooring and Tiling Shows. Here’s a quick look at just some of the many companies you can expect to see.
BRITISH WOOL MARKETING BOARD - STAND C69
The British Wool Marketing Board will introduce the new British Wool Gold Label this year as part of its Premium Label Partnership programme. The Gold Label will represent carpets and products that have more than 70% British Wool within the wool content. This will join the existing Blue Shepherd’s Crook label and the Platinum label. British Wool will also host the retailer sign-up for the Campaign for Wool’s
WoolRetailer.com Accreditation.

a CRUK member, who will explain how compacting waste can help to bulk up carpet volumes for onward transport to recyclers and ultimately save money on waste disposal costs.
On Tuesday at 10.45am following Jane’s update, Peter Steel, CRUK member Linney Cooper, will unveil ‘The Secret of Carpet Recycling’ and outline the thought processes and steps retailers should consider to make recycling work for them.
CARPET RECYCLING UK - STAND M35
Retailers can gain practical advice and tips on how to recycle carpets that can generate significant savings on disposal costs in two seminar sessions hosted by Carpet Recycling UK at the Harrogate Flooring Show on 18th and 20th September 2016.
CRUK, the industry’s association for recycling and reusing carpet, will also be exhibiting during the three-day event.
Both seminar sessions will begin with a talk from Jane Gardner, of CRUK,and will provide an overview of the latest developments in carpet recycling and updates on its progress towards its 60% landfill diversion target by 2020. Landfill diversion of carpets has increased from 2% to 31% over the past eight years.
The first seminar, at 3pm on Sunday, will incorporate a talk from Simon Wells of Kenburn Waste Management,
