Emily Griffith Foundation meets the needs of 7,500+ students annually who attend Emily Griffith Technical Collge (EGTC) through innovative programming.

360 DEGREE FUND

The Foundation’s 360 Degree Program provides support beyond financial aid to ensure that EGTC students complete their education. We know that the most frequently cited reason for students dropping out is life challenges outside the classroom. The 360 Degree Fund provides cash stipends to address those challenges and keep the student in school. Students who access 360 Degree Funds are more likely than their peers to complete their programs, and have a 25% greater rate of job placement after graduation.

SIPS

In 2015, EGF partnered with Chicken Soup for the Soul™ and the Morgridge Family Foundation to produce ten short documentary-style films highlighting the remarkable stories of EGTC students. These “sips” captured the life changing power of an Emily Griffith Technical College education.

Darin Valdez came to EGTC as a recovered addict and recently homeless man. He now has a fulfilling and successful career in the video editing and production field, and credits EGTC with helping him change his life. We are incredibly proud of Darin and pleased to be an integral part of his story.

Adriana Romero had an exhausting schedule in her senior year. She attended West High School from 7:45-11:45 a.m., then headed over to EGTC, where she attended the Certified Nurse Assistant program from noon-4 p.m. and the aesthetics classes from 5-9 p.m. At just 18, Adriana graduated with her high school diploma and two professional certificates. For Adriana, “Emily Griffith was a school that provided me the opportunity for growth, not just academic progress but also personal growth.”
