HELPING TO OPEN DOORS


The Emily Griffith Foundation began its partnership with MillerCoors in 2013 when MillerCoors contributed a significant amount to the Emily Griffith Foundation to help seed the Emily Griffith Technical College Water Quality Management program. MillerCoors truly raised the bar by providing comprehensive support of the Water Quality program in the areas of scholarships, lab equipment, and community outreach. Additionally, MillerCoors has been an outstanding partner to Emily Griffith Foundation through sponsorship support of the 100 Year activities as well as the annual Legacy of Learning breakfast.

For many years Emily Griffith Foundation and Kenneth King Foundation have partnered on programs benefitting EGTC students. In recent years, Kenneth King Foundation changed its funding priorities, and Emily Griffith Foundation and Emily Griffith Technical College utilized Kenneth King Foundation support to launch an entrepreneurial program. The Kenneth King Foundation contributions established an entrepreneurial program that allows students to pair their certification with the skills necessary to start their own business. Support for this program has continued to grow and many EGTC students and community members have greatly benefited from this project.


Susan Kiely has been a tremendous champion for Emily Griffith Technical College. Her foundation, Women With A Cause, supports empowering women and enabling them to lift themselves out of poverty, and many of those program participants receive training at EGTC. Susan Kiely chaired the 100 Year Celebrations.
