ENGINEERING CO-OP 30TH ANNIVERSARY


On Thursday, August 4, the Seymour and Esther Padnos School of Engineering and Computing celebrated its 30 year milestone for its co-op program at the John C. Kennedy Hall of Engineering on the Pew Campus in Grand Rapids. When the program started in 1986, it was just a handful of students. This year, nearly 300 students completed co-ops. To celebrate the 30 years of student success, students, alumni, faculty, and professionals from companies that have participated in the co-op gathered to honor the program and give remarks. The 3-semester engineering co-op experience is a hallmark of the Laker Engineering programs and is nationally recognized.
