Tenants have their say at conference

TENANTS came together to discuss Dunedin Canmore services at our conference in January. The event, held at the Corn Exchange just across from Dunedin Canmore offices, was a chance for tenants to give their views on Dunedin Canmore services, including repairs, rent, community safety and environmental services.

They also heard about the locality plans that have been put together for Dunedin Canmore communities. The two locality plans for each of the areas covered by the housing teams detail the work Dunedin Canmore will do to improve communities, develop services and provide excellent customer service over the next year.

The event, which was open to all customers, included presentations on the improvements to neighbourhoods, as well as the chance to discuss local issues such as anti-social behaviour and environmental issues like dog fouling and keeping communities clean and pleasant to live in.

Smibert, 73, from Gorgie, Edinburgh, said “I enjoyed the conference very much. It is such a good way to meet other people and find out more about how Dunedin Canmore works and what their aims are.”

There were also discussion groups and a chance to ask questions and give feedback on services. Dunedin Canmore Managing Director Hazel Young said “This was a brilliant event that allowed us to talk

to a variety of customers about what we are doing for them over the next year.

“I enjoyed meeting our customers and it was really valuable to hear their feedback first-hand about what they need from services for themselves and their communities.”

Get involved with one of our customer groups

NEW tenants Imanuel and Mousumi Mondol along with their son Diganta attended a new customer focus group last month. It was held by the customer panel to discuss the review of the Dunedin Canmore void process they have been working on.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS: New customers the Mondol family

It was a great opportunity for the Mondol family to meet other Dunedin Canmore customers. Mr Mondol, 41, from Oxgangs, said “It was a fantastic meeting and we met some other tenants there. As a new customer the service was really good. We will go

to more meetings with the customer panel.”
