New contracts offer cheaper insurance
A
FTER a hotly-contested tender process, our new contracts for buildings and contents insurance
went live on 1 April 2016. We always look for the best deal available and we’re delighted to have negotiated a REDUCTION in your insurance premiums.
Buildings insurance Ageas won the contract for two years, with an option to extend it for a further two years. Your premiums will be around £18 cheaper per year. The excess stays the same at £100 for each individual claim, together with a reinstatement value of £400,000 if your property had to be rebuilt. We recently sent you a policy schedule. Please keep this in a safe place in case you need to make a claim. We insure your property as set out in
your Deed of Conditions. We are delighted to tell you that, as part of the old contract and, due to a low level of claims, we have received a payment discount of £345,000 from Ageas. This money is paid back to Wheatley
Group - YourPlace’s parent company - and the money is used for community benefit and to help improve services. This includes the Wheatley Pledge programme which offers job opportunities to people living in our communities and play parks within our neighbourhoods.
Home contents insurance Aviva won the contract for two years with an option to extend it for another two years. Our great value cover is now even cheaper and still has no excess. Premiums are around 10% lower than before, making our comprehensive cover one of the cheapest on the market. Our new contract with Aviva offers some additional benefits. We’ve increased the maximum level of cover to £50,000. Cover starts from £4000 at £9.96 per year if you are over 60, so customers can choose a level of cover to suit their age and needs. The policy now includes garden cover including plants, trees and shrubs, legally downloaded items like music, movies and video games and business equipment. Any new customers signing up during 2016 will get free cover for one month. Don’t delay – sign up today.

The magic number
DO you pay your bills by online banking, in the bank or by standing order? If so, remember to use your account number as the reference for your payment. The reference number you use helps us make sure the payment ends up in the right account without any delay. If you don’t use your account number, and use a reminder like ‘factoring bill’, it delays your payment getting to your account. You can also pay using our online services. This information is all there already, making it easier to pay. You’ll find your account number
on your bill as pictured above or on a recent letter. If you can’t find it, your factoring agent will be able to help.
