F ree party celebrating South Devon’s home- gr own food and music talent

If you love good food and exceptional live music then don’t miss the eighth annual Kingsbridge Food & Music Festival, running from Friday 31st to Sunday 2nd June 2019. This three day annual food and music extravagan-

za is now a real favourite in the South Hams events calendar, and will showcase the eclectic mix of incredible tastes and sounds that originate from our beautiful region. This will be the 8th year that the festival has been running and it continues to gather interest, support and crowds year after year. There really is nothing quite like this festival in the area; its relaxed, friendly atmosphere is commented on year after year and is the perfect way for the town to come together and party for the weekend. Set on the stunning waterside quay and town band-

stand, this family-friendly festival is an opportunity to enjoy a diverse range of wonderful local produce whilst listening to some of the best music acts that the region has to offer, and entry is completely FREE! Food lovers’ appetites will be fulfilled by the wide and diverse range of delicious treats on offer, including

Thai, Middle Eastern, Southern Indian, wood fired piz- zas, proper Devon pasties, ice cream, meringues, sweet treats, cream teas and much more. For those who need their thirst-quenching (the weather has been very kind to the festival over the years!) there will also be artisan coffee makers, local wines, beers, ciders and a buzzing cocktail bar. Meanwhile children will love the Kids Zone (Saturday and Sunday only) featuring na- ture-inspired craft activities, the popular Saturday morning kids fancy-dress dis- co with help from HSBC, healthy fruity treats and a bouncy castle. This year’s music line-up (whilst all in

place) is still under-wraps, but as always will include a wide array of local talent, and is sure to have you up and dancing off your food indulgences. The website is the best

place to see what bands will be filling the 3 days on the stage and there will be something to keep everyone happy: From the high energy Friday and Saturday night headliners to the relaxed tones of the Sunday afternoon music. Keep an eye out on our social media pages for all the latest updates and details of where to get a programme.•
