Sony introduces new lensless projectors

Sony Professional Solutions Europe has in- troduced a new range of lensless F-series projectors, based on customer feedback, to better meet the needs of larger installations. The original F-series projectors include a standard lens, with the option to purchase additional lenses. But as the needs of large- scale installations are so bespoke, the majority of customers were selecting one of the other lenses in Sony’s extensive range. The new lensless range in- cludes three laser projectors, the VPL-FHZ57L, VPL-FHZ60L and VPL-FHZ65L, as well as two lamp-based models, the VPL-FH60L and VPL-FH65L,

to suit the requirements of different instal-

lations. All models can be combined with a range of Sony lenses that meet the needs of

virtually any size of room or throw require- ment. “We’re always looking for ways to better meet the needs of our customers,” said Robert Meakin, Senior Product Manager at Sony Professional Solutions Europe. “So, when their feedback was that they were swapping out the standard lens most of the time, we wanted to save them time, hassle and money by offering a lensless alternative. This range means we can ensure we’re providing our customers with a solution that’s bespoke to them.”

Vivitek adds to large venue options

Vivitek has announced that it will launch two new large venue laser projectors, the DK8500Z and the DU8190Z, adding to its already comprehensive portfolio. Offering DLP technology with BrilliantColor for a vi- brant and rich picture quality, they follow the recent launch of the DU7090Z laser projec- tor, ensuring that Vivitek has the most complete range of projectors for large venue environments and applications.

Both the DK8500Z and DU8190Z feature powerful laser light sources which offer up to 20,000 hours of operation, making them ideal for venues that need power and positioning flexibility combined with durability and ease of use. Laser light sourc- es do not require lamp changes, which minimises maintenance, while their mercury-free designs ensure that they are environmen- tally friendly solutions.

Suitable for large applications, the DK8500Z offers exceptional picture clarity in 4K/UHD reso- lution and 7500 ANSI Lumens brightness. The DU8190Z meanwhile is a WUXGA laser light source projector with a strong performance of 10,000 ANSI Lumens brightness.

Designed for easy installation, both projec-

tors offer motorised lens shift and Lens Posi- tion Memory function. Installation flexibility is ensured with 8 optional lenses ranging from 0.38:1 to 5.31-8.26:1 throw ratio. With built-in edge-blending, warping and portrait mode projection with 360-degrees, they are truly versatile projectors, designed for a
