houghts of lighting the BBQ and spending more time outside are the things l just love about this time of year. For this edition, we have all aspects of the garden covered, especially new ideas for outdoor cooking.
Once again, we feature a place to visit and ramble around, this time looking at Eyam, the infamous plague village. There’s also lots of interesting places to see and visit including a wedding dress exhibition at Cannon Hall plus Rotherham’s first food and drink show.
It was lovely to get out and about and meet people in our area who are trying to make a difference to the lives of others. From a memory café to sensory gardens, we were overwhelmed at just what is on offer to people right on our doorstep. Sometimes life can deal the unexpected and we are faced with challenging times ahead for our health. It’s humbling to know that there are lots of dedicated people in South Yorkshire who continue to support those who face life changing times. We hope you enjoy the many community based articles in this edition and it inspires you to make a difference, too.
When l stumbled upon a local man and his very impressive classic car at last year’s Rotherham Show he kindly offered to let us into his home and tell us a little more about the life of his beloved Phantom II. We hope you enjoy reading about its journey from riches to rags and back again.
It’s a busy time ahead with the sun spurring us on to tackle many jobs around the house but make sure you take some time to sit back and relax, perhaps with a glass of gin and tonic, as you read our latest edition.
