After joining Boudicca in Cape Town you’ll begin your epic journey of discovery along South Africa’s beautiful coastline, starting with a call into Port Elizabeth. There are two full days in ‘The Friendly City’, with ample opportunity to indulge in the ultimate safari experience. Go in search of the ‘Big Five’ at the Kariega or Lalibela game reserves; view elephants from a 4X4 at the Addo Elephant Park; or stay in a five- star game lodge at the Pumba Private Game Reserve.
An overnight in Richards Bay follows, from where you’ll have the chance to encounter even more African wildlife, including rare White Rhinos, at the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, while a tour of Dumazulu offers a fascinating insight into the way of life in the Zulu Kingdom. Hear the beat of Zulu drums, taste the locally brewed beer and see Zululand’s famous beadwork, basketry, pottery and weaving.
The next two days will be spent in Durban. The city has a great advantage, namely in its close proximity to the mystical Valley of a Thousand Hills, making exploration of a traditional Zulu village a possibility. Alternatively, search for big game at the Tala Game
